The small seems a touch roomy on my body, especially at the shoulders; I could probably have gone down to a XS. Then again, I'm planning to wear them to work and I'm not in my twenties any more... the looser fit is probably perfectly fine.The wool is extremely soft and not itchy at all; thin, so it doesn't feel like your wearing a bulky wool sweater. It even washed very well (handwash, dry flat), but keep aware that the cloth is very fine. I had a cat pat my arm for attention and had to spend several minutes teasing the claw snags back to flat.I'm a petite A-cup, 115 lbs, for reference.
